Nebula Chamber Concert Series

The Andromeda Electric Orchestra proudly presents New Sonic Horizons, an afternoon of chamber music exploring the expansive possibilities of acoustic and electric strings.
Featuring the AEO Nebula Ensemble, this program spotlights a new string-quartet instrumentation combining acoustic violin and acoustic cello with 6- and 5-string electric violins—merging classical clarity with a wider electric palette of color, range, and atmosphere.
The concert includes Alpha Centauri: Triple Star System by Alfred Surenyan (for chamber ensemble), alongside works by guest composers Sarah Wallin Huff and Christian Dubeau. Together, these pieces explore bold textures, luminous harmonies, and “new sonic horizons” through contemporary chamber writing.
This performance is part of the Nebula Chamber Series, highlighting innovative repertoire and intimate ensemble performance within the Andromeda Electric Orchestra.

The AEO Nebula Ensemble, a smaller group of musicians within the Andromeda Electric Orchestra, performs a diverse range of music. Their repertoire includes classical chamber music, original new music, arrangements of known pieces, and various other musical compositions.
The instrumentation used in their performances varies depending on the orchestration of each piece. They can employ traditional string quartets, piano trios, or other instrument groupings to create unique sounds with modern music technology.
The ensemble typically performs in intimate venues, such as churches or recital halls, allowing for a close connection with the audience. AEO organizes these concerts in the Nebula Concert Series throughout the season, filling the gaps between full orchestra concerts.
