BOB BELAND is an American born left handed guitarist/ multi instrumentalist/songwriter/self contained recording artist from Los Angeles, CA, where he has performed, written and recorded original music from 1974 to the present. His first solo recording was a 45rpm single released when he was signed to MCA publishing, “Stealing Cars,” back in 1980 and a self titled 1982 e.p. “Bob Beland” both produced by Stephen Hague and featuring members of Jules & the Polar Bears and Beland’s own live band. Bob currently has 8 self released, self produced solo albums out digitally on his own labels Seeing i Records and Wrong Way Works.

In 2017 Bob collaborated with 10cc and Godley&Creme founding member Kevin Godley on the song “the Bang Bang Theory” for Kevin Godley’s first solo album, “Muscle Memory”released by the State51conspiracy label in 2020


Bob was a founding member of the L.A. bands Southpaw (with Jules Shear) in 1974 - 75 and Bates Motel 1976 - 1979 as well as a charter member of the Furys 1985 -1988 and Skin Trade 1989 - 1990.  


The concept for orchestra, “Forward and Backworks,”recorded in 2013 and released in 2019, is Bob’s only all instrumental solo album. It features guest musician violinist Paula Kuhr from the AEO who also appears on Bob’s 3rd album, “Life Begins” from 2007 and his 8th album “Happy Camper” from 2020.
