Soli Jones
A native of Los Angeles, Soli has been playing the oboe for 11 years. In 2019, they graduated cum laude with a BM in oboe performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach. There, Soli studied with Claire Brazeau, Joe Stone, and Jessica Pearlman-Fields and performed oboe and English horn with the BCCM Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Additionally, Soli was a featured soloist with the BCCM Collegium Musicum Ensemble. As a grad student at UCLA, they were awarded the Max H. Gluck Fellowship, granting the opportunity to perform in community outreach concerts around Los Angeles. As a freelancer, Soli has performed with the Colburn Adult Wind Symphony and the Southern California Youth Philharmonic in venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Royce Hall. In 2020, Soli was appointed as an electronic wind instrument (EWI) player for the Andromeda Electric Orchestra. Other than music, Soli enjoys photography and taking portraits of friends and music colleagues.
