Laura Halladay
Flutist, Laura Halladay has filled Schoenberg Hall, and has performed internationally everywhere from Cairo to Acapulco. She has recorded for TV and Film soundtracks and with artists as diverse as Linda Ronstadt, (receiving a gold record); harpist Stephanie Bennett; and Angels of Venice on Windham Hill records. World orchestra, MESTO, commissioned a solo concerto that features her on seven different flutes, recorders and penny whistles. Recently she performed with the San Diego Symphony and Phoenix Symphony as the Recorder specialist on John Williams’ score, “The Prisoner of Azkabhan”. She currently composes for and performs with the CELA new music ensemble. Her great passion for Jazz and ethnic music continues to lead her into new directions that combine elements of dance, new age and world music.
