Fundraising Specialist—Remote -Independent Contractor


Summery of contractor position:
The Andromeda Electric Orchestra (AEO) is seeking an experienced fundraiser. We are looking for a motivated industrious individual who is a self starter. The orchestra is seeking someone who  will work towards bringing in funds for the operational needs such as concert venues, musician pay, insurance, royalties, and other expenses. We are looking for someone who will work from home; however, it must be in the state of California where the orchestra is located.


About AEO:
The Andromeda Electric Orchestra is a start up arts organization and gained 501(c)(3) status in May of 2020.  The position starts off part time, however it will lead towards a full time position and compensation will start when grants are available.  The position will start off as an independent contractor position and will lead towards full employment with benefits as the orchestra grows.


Mission Statement
The mission of the Andromeda Electric Orchestra is to perform traditional and modern music with electric musical instruments with originality, creativity and innovation.
Los Angeles is a center for all the major ethnic groups in the world.  Inequities  have historically been part of the classical orchestra, and the Andromeda Electric Orchestra is committed to making changes in response to the evolving landscape of diversity.  AEO is committed to address inequalities by providing music that represents all ethnic, racial, and lifestyles.  We provide opportunities for musicians of all backgrounds to perform as members of the orchestra, including performances of music by composers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds.  The orchestra also is committed to the employment of all ethnicities, races, and sexual orientation both in the creative performance level and in the administrative office positions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years sales or fundraising experience
  • Experience using MS PowerPoint, Keynote, or google slides and creation of presentations for group and individual meetings
  • Ability to travel locally preferred. Occasional evening and working on Saturdays preferred.
