Engineer


Positon Summary:
Reporting to the Music Director and Production Advisor, The Engineer is resposible for the sound mixing and prodution of concerts and performances.  The Engineer will be the “heart” of the orchestra, mixing the entire orchestra for an artistic and unique sound.  The Engineer will be part of the collaboration between the Music Director, Production Advisor, and Concertmaster in creating the sounds of the orchestra.  


Candidate Profile: 
The Engineer will embrace AEO’s mission statement and bring in their own expertise and creative style into the growth and development of the performances of the orchestra.  The Engineer will be an essential member of the orchestra with collaboration with members of the orchestra during rehearsals and concerts. 


Postion requires:

1. Collaboration with the Music Director, Production Advisor, Concertmaster and orchestra members.
2. Detial oriented and highly skilled in complex mixing.
3. Be creative and innovative in creating the orchestral sounds.
4. Bring in their own professional skills and style into the orchestra. 

Experience/ Qualiications: 

1. Experience in mixing live sound reenforcement wtih complex channel set up.
2. Excellent communciatoin skills,
3. Understand and worked with mutilpe of styles and geners of music. 
4. Knowledge orchestral instruments and the capabilites of the instruments.
5. Knoweldge of Classical Music, Film Music, Pop Music
6. Abiltiy to read music is desirable but not required. 

Time Commitment: 
Part Time position- Rehearsals and concerts

Negotiable
